MEET RITA
I realized pretty early on how important it is to keep both the body and the mind healthy. Even as a young child I was already in connecting with people and nature in a special way, but didn’t understand how to implement that knowledge. As I was fighting through several traumatic events, I moved away from my career in architecture and engineering and towards training in a totally different direction – various healing modalities. When I started the journey with water therapy (WATSU in India) I realized the importance of being grounded, rooted in life. So for a couple of years I was studying Zen Shiatsu and Naturopathy in Hungary, and learning Chinese Medicine from different teachers/doctors. The love of Shiatsu grew in me so much, I started teaching classes in the heart of the city. While life changes happened, my path lead me across the world to New Mexico. Moving to a new country meant I needed to start everything over. This didn’t discourage me, and I completed my training in the US as a Licensed Massage Therapist in order to be able to practice and share the Zen Shiatsu that I love.
While I was doing all the other necessary steps, I started to focus on additional methods, which help balance emotions and bring healing. This lead me to Bach Flower Threapy, CranioSacral Therapy and Reiki.
Whether there are physical, emotional, or other attachments that hinder your healing, my ability to see energetics from multiple aspects and dimensions can allow you to connect with your deepest self, bring clarity, and ultimately heal wounds.
Though I have worked in various modalities throughout the years of providing care to others, my greatest interest and passion has focused on Cranial Sacral Therapy. I have found Cranial Sacral Therapy to be one of the most effective forms of treatment or adjunctive therapy approaches for a number of health conditions and helping through peaceful transitions.

COMBINATION OF SKILLS

ZEN SHIATSU
Shiatsu relies on the proper application of pressure on specific points on the surface of the body to eliminate fatigue and stimulate the body’s natural self-curative abilities.

CRANIO SACRAL THERAPY
Tuning into the nervous system to guide the therapist where attention is needed. Deep core relaxation, similar to meditation, that relaxes the nervous system relieving the state of "fight or flight". Allows tensions to "unwind" naturally.

REIKI
As a trained and certified Reiki Master, I allow this energy to flow through me to you. Energy goes to the areas in the body where it is needed and releases physical, mental, and emotional blockages. It provides you with exactly what you need and brings you into a deep state of relaxation and restoration.

BACH FLOWER THERAPY
The effect of taking the Bach flower remedies is not to suppress negative attitudes but to transform them into positive ones, stimulating one’s own potential for self-healing and freeing the physical system to engage fully in fighting disease and stress.

Therapeutic Massage
Medical massage, myofascial release, assisted stretch, trigger point release all as needed.

Watsu Aquatic bodywork and therapy
Watsu® (WATer ShiatSU) is a form of water therapy, which is also called hydrotherapy. It involves stretches, massages, and acupressure in warm water.

Breathwork
Guided breathing techniques to assist in relaxation and give a boost to releasing stuck areas.

Guided Meditation
Therapist talks you through relaxation imagery.

Chakra balancing
Clearing blockage of energy centers in and around the body. When energy becomes stagnant, intentions are more difficult to actualize.
